(This is another one of my homework assignments for language, a Chirstmas poem.)

Remember Christmas
Kelsie Mason

Hustle and bustle, to and fro
the Christmas Season is here and well everyone is on the go.
In a hurry and scurry to find gifts for all we love and know,
have we forgotten the truth of the most wonderful season of all.

The halls are decked with boughs of holly
and how could we forget the tree, by golly.
Soft carols play bringing spirit and joy
While fantasies of Santa dance in the head of every girl and boy.

Have we grown to love the packages and bows
over that first Christmas story of long ago?
Does your heart swell rejoicing hallelujah
when we think of that babe sleeping in the straw?

Do we remember the love
of our Father above
who gave the greatest gift
the most wonderful Christmas wish?

Can you imagine the manger on that Bethlehem night?
Christ the Savior was born, oh what a beautiful sight.
He was sent here to earth as a babe wrapped in swaddling
to bring forth the world as an almighty king.

The bright star that shown from heavenly skies
told the world of his coming and brought forth three wise guys
to a place where that baby lay so peaceful and still
knowing he had a duty on Earth to fulfill.

So much has been given
to bring forth the life of all men
Now Christmas is coming and we must live like him
So the example of his light can shine forth and never become dim

There may still be a lot to get done
But let us all try to remember Christ, the son.
After all he is what we celebrate
His life, his gift, and the love that he generates.

What do you think? Do you think I'll get a good grade? My language teacher is very picky about her poems.. I'll cross my fingers.
