you can call me. . . . Dr. Mason

My husband is going to have to like to play pretend.
I like to play pretend.
. . . . .
Yesterday I was a doctor
for this guy
His name is Eric.
He is a J3 boy.
He kind of screwed up his ankle. . .
or so we thought.
It looked bad.

I suggested Redmond clay
Yes, small town remedies
it works.
I found some from a few friends that I have up here.
(thanks Wendy and Kelby)
I made putty
and wrapped Eric's Leg in it.
My friends claimed that my hick-ness was showing through
and I guess in a way it was.

Today Eric went to the doctor
After much persuasion . . .
of course!

And this happened.
Yep it is broken.
It is gross.
I may or may not have pulled out some of Eric's
leg hair while he was sitting
helplessly elevating his leg last night.

Get well soon Eric! (:

Stay Tuned:  Eric will probably tell the whole GROSS story of the event on his blog . . . No promises, but I am sure he will find time to do it. . . just a thought.

Hallow's Eve

I don't love Halloween very much at all, even though dressing up is my forte.  I think Halloween changes the character of people by the things they choose to wear.  But as I said before I do absolutely love dressing up!  Since I played MOD all last year I had to be something completely different, something that was out of my norm!  So- after a lot of thought and contemplation I decided to be a PIRATE!  Argh!
I knew exactly where to get my costume too.  When I was in sixth grade I was a pirate in the school musical Peter Pan, so I called my mom right up and asked if she would bring my costume up with her when she went to the volleyball games.  Lucky enough for me the costume pretty much fit (I was a big sixth grader, give me a break!) the shirt was a little snug.  Sam played too-  We were partners in crime. . . Well actually I was the captain and he was my apprentices.
I cooked dinner for a crew and I was so excited to have one of my AMIGOS stop by!  Taylor was in Logan with Kalon on this Hallow's Eve so I pounced on the opportunity to spend some time with my buddies.  They pulled off the nerd look very well if I dare say so myself!
I went to the famous USU Howl!  Well I guess you could say that I stood in line at the Howl for about an hour and a half and spent oh maybe a half hour at the most actually inside.  I didn't really like it- It made me feel uncomfortable and where there was so many fun things to do and participate in I just didn't like it. . .
I did have a marvelous Halloween though!  I was able to have a few heart-to-hearts with those I love, I played dress-up, cooked food, had a party, and enjoyed the weekend playing with my friends!

homecoming. (usu style)

Homecoming. . . for the last four years the week of Homecoming meant loss of sleep, food, energy, patience, tears and communication.  Homecoming meant so much work. . . and ya that is basically all I got out of it was the satisfaction of doing so much work to make things go according to plan.
Homecoming always meant hard volleyball practices, lots of sign painting, skit making, dancing, float building, no sleeping . . . . I was just going and going and going. . . no stopping- well that is until I would have a complete emotional breakdown and have to cry to my mom (yes, this is how I deal with my frustrations- I let a bunch of little things build up inside of me until I can't take it anymore and of an emotional crying fast while my mom rationally talks me through each small detail. . . )  I didn't really ever love homecoming.
Well college homecomings are so much different!  First of all homecoming means free food!  Every day there was at least one free meal if not two for poor starving college students like myself to enjoy.  The second thing I loved about homecoming was the dance!  Sam asked me to go with him- and for all those who don't know me I LOVE to play dress up.  The dance was marvelous Sam has great potential to become a superb dancer!  Finally the parade and the game!  The parade was fun- a pretty decent parade.  My favorite part about it all was watching the kids race to pieces of taffy and the satisfaction that each little piece gave. . .Then there was the game! Brrr! That is all I can honestly say about it!  We got there and the stands were loaded everyone excited and anxious to support our team and by the end of the first quarter all those true supportive Aggie fans were spotted throughout the stands being pelted by fierce rain drops.  (my school spirit didn't even last through the third quarter.)

The week was great!  Ending with Mark making yummy food - cheeseburger soup and pumpkin cookies, getting all my homework done before Sunday, having a movie marathon and rough-housin' just a little bit.
. . . . I guess I don't need to stress over homecomings anymore. . . I'm okay with that!

una semana.

Meet my friends!  Jessica, Aubrie and I all met in our Connections class.  Parker and Sam found us at the bus stop- also at Connections!  Jennifer is the other girl picture and she is one of my dear roommates!
The school had a 80's Dance tonight, but I would like to think of it as our friendship "One Week Anniversary!" Happy One Week Friends!
It is finally FRIDAY!
well technically it is Saturday. . .
I know It is almost four in the morning, but I can't sleep-
my roommate went home, and so here I am!
It's Raining Men is stuck in my head. . . maybe it is due to the fact that I ran around at an eighties dance for the last few hours!  haha- why they call it a dance I don't know because I was just jumping the entire time!

I have lived here one week, only ONE week- "So much can happen in one week"
I have met life long friends that I feel like I have known forever.
I have gone to school for five days, had tons of homework, and stayed up late going on adventures.
O and now I have stayed up until four in the morning!
I have stayed up until four in the morning before-
just not at college!
I had forgotten how much I love to dress up!
After the dance we came back to our apartment and watch Pursuit of Happiness- sad movie.
When the movie was finished we helped friends get home safely, and now here I am!
I am exhausted.
I have to get up in four hours. . . blah!
Good morning Saturday!
I am kinda hungry, but it is too late to eat anything.
We are out of milk. . . and figure out utilities. . .
Tonight was a blast!

Oh and yes the title is in Spanish- I am going to learn how to speak and/or understand spanish before next year!  Sam said he would help me!

Confession: I play dress up when I'm suppose to be cleaning my room.
Yesterday since we closed work early due to the weather I came home and cleaned my room.
Well at least that is what I was suppose to be doing. . .
Instead, however, I put on crazy headbands, tried on all of my shoes, put together some ridiculous looking outfits and played with my make-up.
I did get my room cleaned eventually. . . it just took me three times as long as it should have.
